its really annoying that the uk is so far behind. im slightly reluctant to actually buy the boxsets because im pretty certain that when they finish making them (please not for quite a while!!) they will make a big special boxset like they did with friends. i have the special amazon boxset for seasons 1 to 3 and its much better having one big boxset rather than loads of small boxsets. i bought each boxset of friends and then when it finished they released the big boxset and i was very annoyed because id spent so much on the seperate ones and it would be so much better having the big one.

anyway, i would like to see a lot more features that include the actors, i dont care what they are but i would like it. we get very little special features with the actors and this would be much better than producers. as much as the producers are interesting, these arnt the people that we see in the program and we know slightly, so it would be much better to have the actors in the special features

Hello Gibson! cheers.gif

I agree, I'm not buying the boxsets in case they bring out a sooperdooper one. I'm just renting them for now!

Um, this may have already been mentioned, but does anyone know WHEN the 5th season will be released? If you know please tell me.

I think the info we know so far is that it will come out in October. Still no word for the exact release date though.

They've already said they're going to re-release S1 on DVD with more extras, including the deleted Nick/Catherine kiss, so who knows what else they're planning.

Ooh! Finally, waiting to buy the seasons on DVD is going to pay off...I'm actually waiting for them to come out with a S 1-5 package like they did with S 1-4 last time. Bloopers would be amazingly hilarious! What I'd like to see is maybe a tour of the set by the actors - that would be some good times. tongue.gif

I would have thought we would have had a release date by now. Hope they tell us soon when it will be.

As far as I know, it was going to be released roughly around the same time as S4 was last year ?October or thereabouts, which may be why we haven't got a release date yet.

I contacted tvshowsondvd.com about the release date and they have it from Paramount that the 5th season will not be released before the 1st season of CSI NY, which is October 25th. The plans could change, but it's looking like a November release date at the earliest.

This isn't about Season 5, but I didn't want to start a new topic. I was just looking around at Amazon.com at the CSI dvd sets to see if there was a date announced for Season 5 and the reissue of Season 1, and noticed that under Season 2, it says it's not available, and can be pre-ordered for an August 9, 2005 release. It appears to be the same as the set released in 2003, so I find this rather odd. Does anyone know why this is?

Maybe Amazon is out of stock of the Season 2 DVD set and won't have more until August 9th.
