Urm...I don't know if these are ones that have been spotted or not yet but I had a 3 episode run on Saturday so here goes:

Sorry that I don't have any caps. :sorry:

A night at the movies:
When Grissom and Cath are in the cinema, and look in the bin, there is a bulletin board behind them, and I think there is 2/3 of a butterfly behind Griss's head.

When Grissom is in the bathroom, he picks up a plastic bin. There is definitly a dragonfly on it, and there may be a butterfly.

Play with fire...
Okay, I can't belive a didn't spot this before, but the school team is called the "Monarchs". You can see the 'Monarchs rule!' banner behind Alison Carpenters body. If butterflies stand for geeklove, they are practically saying 'Geeklove rules!'
biggrin.gif

Possible B.I.D.S:
In XX, Chasing the bus etc, the nightlights they have to examine scenes are composed of 4 clumped lights, which are butterfly like.

I have no idea what you're all talking about  ph34r.gif
And going with your reactions, I don't want to know.

I have a request for a screen cap for clarification. Anyone please?
In Sounds of silence when Sara and Warrick are talking to Dr. Gilbert in her office, are these flowers in the front? (Well, one can hope that it might be butterflies blush.gif )
My copy is so bad that I can't tell.

Can anyone help me there?

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure they're flowers. Very pretty flowers though..smile.gif

Here are the two caps I could make from A Night At The Movies.
You'll have to tell me if the one in the theatre was what you were talking about....I can't see the butterfly.

[attachment=15008:attachment][attachment=15009:attachment]

Here's the one one from PWF... I think it should count. That's so ridiculously cool.
[attachment=15011:attachment]

I've lent out my season 2 dvds for a while, so I can't make the bids cap.

I've definitely been here too much.
In Fight Night at the hotel of 'the man' when Catherine and Vega walk around the pool, there is a girl with a red bikini. On her top there is something yellow that could be a butterfly (or it's just a brand name). Hard to tell, can anyone have a look at it. Thanks

I think it's the ROXY logo If its the one I'm looking at (there are a lot of red bikinis around in that scene!)..it does look a little butterfly-like though.. But I always thought that!

I did a CAP of it though.. I FINALLY worked out how to do that!

That is the bikini I'm talking about, but I still can't see anything more.
No matter from what angle you look at it, it doesn't seem to get clear.

I'm not from the US, so I don't know what brand it could be.

And I DO know the feeling of always thinking it's a butterfly.

Thanks Binx

Well, I'm not Australian either, so I would have never recognized that.
But it is possible, so I'm fine with saying it is the Roxy logo.

I'm dumping my hard drive and hopefully backing everything up correctly so I won't be doing updates on the site for a couple days. Man I hope, I don't lose anything. And if I do, I hope I can just pull it all off the angelfire folder. unsure.gif

Anywaaaays..... this is gonna get serious....

BIDS determinations:

I don't mean to be exclusive or anything (not at all!) but how about we get a vote system going for possible BIDS? Up until this point, most of the BIDS posted have been mulled over and agreed upon... and I've waited for confirmation from at least one or two other squad members before I uploaded and published it.

So let's make a process of it.

It's just that I don't wanna post all the BIDS only to have other members of our squad decide that maybe they shouldn't be counted, and then I'm torn about whether to take them down, leave them up, or post them at all.

I don't wanna eliminate BIDS (that would mean our Butterfly Bow-Tie would become an orphan sad.gif )... but I don't want it to become so all-consuming that we start forcing the evidence fit a theory -- and that's a fine line when it comes to whether something looks like a representation of a meta-physical connection of another concept of possible symmetry when seen through the GSR lens... yeeeeeah. wacko.gif

I think it'd be most democratic if we could reach a concensus about each BID instead of me making a call between two differing opinions. Besides, you don't want me making these decisions, I'd probably start messing everything up, yo. wacko.gif

Does anyone have any ideas? Should all new BIDS caps be posted and then voted on in the thread... I tally them up until we reach a certain # of votes and then I publish them?

:sigh: all right, serious business over.

First off- Love the new siggy. Soslutphia needs to die.

Second off- I thought we had guidlines for BIDs. Wasn't this set up to elimate doubt on what is a BID and what is not one. It has to be symmertrical right? It has to be clearly something else. So why set up a voting system when we clearly already have one. Somone posts a bid and if it doesn't fit those guidlines then it does go in the collection.

Third off- I can see where you are coming from when you don't want to be torn whether to post or not. So perhaps a voting system could work. But it would flood the thread with unwanted posts when its clearly a BID or not.

The bathingsuit logo that Binx posted could definately be a BIDs. But the one from Overload. Not so much. See...start counting the votes I guess.

The bathing suit could definately be a BID. Symmerical and something other than a butterfly. thumbsup.gif

But the screencap from Overload doesn't look symmetrical to me, at least, not in that screenshot. So, maybe it really is symmetrical, but we just need a different screencap. But not in that one.

Just saying what I see. happy.gif

On the concept of voting on BIDs: Not really... I agree that it could flood the thread with posts. If we could find another way to do it, than maybe. But I do think the system is working, at least for the moment. It's a good thought to keep in mind for the future though.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Little Samurai for all the hard work she puts into the squad. The site is a beautiful addition to our growing squad and its hard work. Not only does she keep the website updated but she must read through posts and posts to find caps and the things she needs to include in an update.

This is not directed towards anyone in particular, but could everyone just understand that when you post a new sighting don't become annoyed when no one mentions it or makes a cap of that sighting right away. Not all of us have the proper programs to cap so it might take a while for someone to come up with a cap. Be patient. Please.

About the BIDs. We do have guidelines on what they should be. Guidelines So please take a look before you start posting BIDs. Its hard to determine what BIDs are and so don't be offended when you sighting does not make it to the list.

So please, read the guidelines, be patient and most of all HAPPY SCOUTING!!

I'm pretty sure most of us here know how to post a link, as well as quote a post. I'm also pretty sure we all know how to send a PM, so why not send a PM to LS as a way to vote? Or maybe have a time limit to vote on each BID? Like maybe have a specific BID posted by her and then we all send a PM for the post in question, and when the certain number of agree or disagree on a BID is reached, she can tell us if we have a final decision and what it is by closing the vote on the BID in question. Just my $0.02. innocent.gif It's one way of avoiding flooding the thread. *shrugs* unsure.gif
